I know this sounds like a very trivial matter if not completely obvious and routine. Please bear with me when I say this: WEB 2.0 actually spearheaded the New Economy into a completely new direction. Online Marketing has seemed to be taken to a completely new level with the technology we now come to know as Web 2.0. Many of you bloggers, online marketers and affiliate business owners on the internet may have started off with Blogspot, WordPress, Joomla and such without knowing what Web 2.0 really is.

Many of us who are starting a home business hardly have any idea on how to start, where to start and why they are in it in the first place. Truth be told, that seems to be only one part of turning your work at home job into a success. After studying cases and actually studying what I myself have been through over the past several months, I notice a sort of trend. And I realized that this was keeping me from making money online. And the saddest part is that it’s not just happening to me, but also to a lot of you. My guess is, your failure in home based business have probably brought you to this article in the first place.
I've written quite a bit on the benefits of social media marketing and how the evolving trend of search engine marketing and article marketing towards adapting itself entirely with the amazing concept of social media. This is a short article on a few of the more popular social voting directories, namely Digg, StumbleUpon and the up and coming Propeller.
I was approached by quite a number of individuals who are new with doing business transactions on the internet, asking me about the risks of money being stolen, getting ripped off by scams and various other issues like disclosing your home address to the affiliate program joined. This is natural. I once had the same fear back when I was in Form 6, I had to take care of the house bills and such while my parents were posted overseas. Eventually it's just boring (and tiring) to have to queue up after school at the bank (or at the post office) just to pay my house bills. That's when the idea of paying bills on the internet came into being. In the end, I got really comfortable with spending my money online.

To those of you who do not know about social bookmarking, it can easily be defined as an online way of bookmarking your favorite web page, blog post or article. The traditional way of bookmarking is simply by clicking the star next to the URL or hitting the buttons Ctrl+D as you browse the internet. Then again, users find it hard when they constantly surf the web having to shift from their mobile web browser to their PC and to their laptop. Traditional bookmarking was simply not cool for most internet addicts and content scavengers.

Throughout my affiliate blogging and web development career, a lot of are experiencing either one or both these two known problems when it comes to online marketing: 1. What is SEO, 2. How to SEO. A lot of people tend to overlook on the importance of having your own website. Of course there are plenty of small business owners who would setup blogs and small mini-sites to promote their businesses. In Malaysia, the trend of having your own website is still faint if not entirely dismissed. Lately me and my partners at SubZero Technologies and Resources have ventured into IT solutions. As an online corporate image consultant, I had to look through Malaysian business directories for prospects. After doing a bit of research, I've found that there are plenty of companies out there that do not even implement online marketing into their branding strategy.

Many is a time when fresh internet marketers and bloggers decides to build a list (something which is inevitable) to profit from their business on the internet. As I've discussed earlier, autoresponders play the most significant role in your affiliate marketing career (if you haven't read the article yet go here). In fact, since the invention of the autoresponder, there's almost no other methods of marketing that performs better than autoresponders to sell affiliate products, services and programs.
The main question when you actually decide to invest is this: "Should I go for Aweber or GetResponse?"
If it's your first autoresponder: NONE of those two.

The other day I went through briefly on directory submission to gain backlinks. With the trend nowadays almost completely covering entire search engines with blogs, it's great if you consider submitting your blog to blog directories. Not only does this makes perfect sense, it's also a great way to build your rankings ground up. This gives you the opportunity to promote your blog while gaining recognition amongst other bloggers. The most significant factor that I like when it comes to some of these directories is that you'll have a chance at getting to know and socialize with other blog owners.

Well, I thought really long hard before I actually decided to write an article giving my views on the current scenario of affiliate marketing in Malaysia. Then I spent another few hours contemplating on what exactly should I write about when it comes to the 'still' controversial scenario of affiliate marketing in Malaysia. So here goes nothing. Another dumb article sharing my views.
